The 'Ramp Ahead' quick-fit sign is designed to enhance road safety, particularly during road resurfacing. This sign is crucial for warning drivers about sudden changes in road surface height, especially when an existing surface has been removed, leaving a ramp leading down to the bare substrate.
A second set of signs is typically placed at the end of the bare section to alert drivers of an upcoming ramp leading back up to the finished road surface. These signs are positioned on both sides of the road to effectively warn traffic in both directions.
